1.      Data Collection and Data Analysis - 

This full-day course presents data collection and data analysis from a revolutionary perspective.  Here, you will find a suite of instruments that allow you and your staff to be value-added in the behavioral decision making process for your clients. ALL of our tools allow you and your direct care staff to perform mini-functional behavior assessments per observation interval or event, while contextualizing target behaviors of concern with such information as function of behavior, intervention used, antecedents, and magnitude of response, all captured in a clear,concise, and comprehensive fashion. Gone are the days of the confusing graphs. The companion monthly tool summarizes daily behaviors allowing you to go back to any observation interval or event and perform contextual analysis like never before. Finally, we have developed other instruments that are improvements on the standard tools such as Event Recording, Whole Interval Recording, Partial Interval Recording, and Momentary-Time Sampling methods. These offerings also can be used with our monthly tool. Collectively, they comprise our proprietary data collection protocol suite. 

2.      Functional Behavior Assessments - 

This course brings functional behavior assessment and analysis into the twenty-first century. We will embark on a journey by first reviewing contemporary F.B.A. development techniques which rely on the three step contingency of interview, direct observation, and summary, identifying the problems inherent with current formulations being advanced. We will discuss a variety of assessment tools, then introduce proprietary methods that demonstrate how dispersed data captured using previous methods can be consolidated and extrapolated into powerful assessment reporting, presented in graphic, numerical, and narrative form. Target behaviors summarized along eight dimensions, Hypothesized functions of behaviors and a Mental Health screening is but a part of what you will witness. In the end, we believe you will walk away better prepared to provide quality service for you clients.

3.      Navigating your way through an authorization period - 

Would you allow a doctor to perform surgery on you if he or she didn't have a clear cut plan for how to address your medical malady?! If you wouldn't, then this course will offer you specific strategies for developing a behavioral health-care model for the delivery of service to your client population. Authorization periods of all durations should be approached with specific strategies, instruments, and tools to arrive at behaviorally desirable outcomes. "Know your exit strategies before you enter the behavioral entrance." This course will guide you through week by week considerations and recommendations that will facilitate treatment outcomes. 

4.      Professional Ethics -

     This course is based on the The Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Guidelines for Responsible Conduct, yet it is presented with a "Boots on the ground" narrative discussion sprinkled with personal and professional experiences of a board certified behavioral analyst. This is not you average run-of-the-mill ethics course!  This course offers real-life ethical dilemmas and circumstances that you may have encountered in your professional walk, yet may not have known how to address them. Additionally, special attention is given to behavioral concepts such as dual relationships, treatment efficacy, and the need for on-going data collection and data analysis.

5.      Considerations for effectively running your practice or agency - 

     This course is presented in either live or audio formats. The live format consists of a full-day, hands- on workshop in which most of the tools and strategies discussed will be available for demonstration. The objective here is to present concepts and methods that will allow you to cost-effectively build and run your practice or agency. This course is directed at professionals who are, or intend to be in private practice or professionals in leadership positions with the responsibility for everything from department or company budgets, and or entrepreneur/practitioners with the responsibility of running the entire enterprise. Discussed is everything from employee selection, training, and resource acquisition, to ethics and organizational structure just to name a few topics. At the end of this course you will have been exposed to a wide array of considerations that will help improve your chances of running a successful human services operation.

6. Developing Effective Treatment Plans -

     This course speaks to the origins of, and the need for, effective treatment plans. Treatment plan development to date has produced documents that are not often used as the "playbook" for service delivery.  Human service treatment plan development should not be any less evidence-based than those prescribed in the medical or scientific arena. Could you imagine your doctor not having a detailed set of strategies to address your physical malady? Or your nurse not having clear directions from the doctor in charge of patient care? We believe that the Human Services industry must  provide the same level of outcome-oriented service delivery. To that end we have addressed this concern in the industry, and offer this course to identify proprietary tools to facilitate treatment plan development, and by extension quality care to the end consumer...
